Skinlab - Bound, Gagged & Blindfolded

Recorded 1997. San Francisco Metal band created in 1994 and previously known as DEFIANCE. SKINLAB include drummer Paul Hopkins, previously with ex-FORBIDDEN and TESTAMENT guitarist Glen Alvelais outfit BIZARRO. The band originally made its entrance with a line-up comprising of Hopkins, vocalist / bassist Steve Esquivel and guitarist Adam Albright. The latter would be supplanted by the guitar duo of Mike Roberts and former RELEASE man Gary Wendt. MACHINE HEAD's Robb Flynn helped SKINLAB prepare for the recording of their debut album. The debut album production was handled by former SABBAT guitarist Andy Sneap. Review - I first purchased "Disembody: The New Flesh" a few days ago and have now collected every Skinlab album. This is one of the greatest debuts of all time. Amazing. Skinlab definately knows the tricks of the trade. Incorporating Machine Head like sounds with a hardcore vibe of that of Earth Crisis and Hatebreed and even some elements of Slayer, Skinlab is a must buy. Best tracks are 1, 2, 7, and 9.
